With innovative productions, the Marmoucha Foundation has been bringing the performing arts from North Africa and the Middle East closer since 2002. In doing so, it connects venues, makers and audience groups from diverse cultural, social and religious backgrounds. The in-house orchestra Marmoucha Orchestra is a cross between an inspired big band and an up-and-coming ensemble. With passion, the 14 musicians interpret musical diversity from countries around the Mediterranean. They offer optimal pleasure for musical connoisseurs: to be savoured like honey to the ear, thrill to the eye and comfort to the heart. For Old Roots New Routes, the Marmoucha Foundation is producing a special programme.
